Friday Night Lights
Tonight I ran in town w/ Jacki, 6+ miles at a pretty fast clip, 42:11. And this is even after 30 minutes on the Octane during lunch today. This morning we had about two inches of snow on the ground. Tonight it was a very "warm" 34 degrees and raining. My left foot gave me a scare about a mile and a half in. I had the sharp pain I had lastnight, but it was momentary and I didn't feel it again at all. Hmm... I was very careful on all the snow spots, being paranoid not to fall. The last time I ran on snow, I got a stress fracture from slipping on rain-soaked snow in February. I am pretty pumped. I've had some really good runs the last week or so, and my rest days, on the Octane, were better than they had been. I'm not feeling as beat up as I had been. Of course, I'm not on call this week, so that may change things next week. Lack of sleep really has an impact on my training. About the lights. The Christmas lights are now all on display in Deming Park, so the whole park is full of cars with people staring at lights, and not noticing runners. With the glare of the headlights reflecting off the wet road, it was a little hard to see. I think the CD player in my car is going to die. I've had it for over 5 years and it's been messing up occasionally for the last year or so. It is remedied with a little "punch" on the glove box. But today, I really had Feist in my head, and I couldn't get "The Reminder" to read. Dammit! So, I had to listen to the RADIO!!!! I cannot do without my CD Player. If it dies, I'll have to put a CD Player on my Christmas List.
Work was much more manageable the last two days. A little more planned structure to my day with not a lot of production issues. OH! I got 43,000 on Asteroids today!!!
Kourtney is staying the night again at C's house. Imagine that, my teenage daughter not being home on yet another Friday night. She'll be in for a surprise tomorrow morning when she gets home, as we're doing Spring Cleaning.

Awesome run and WTG for no injury. I had crappy run #2 for the week and am unsure as to what I've screwed up, but I'm hoping it works itself out.
And Yaaaay! for yur asteroids score. Waaay cool.
